Definitions & Scope of Work
These clarifications govern the interpretation of all proposals, blueprints, and service agreements issued by Interludge Pentridge. They supersede any conflicting terms in preliminary documents.
What constitutes a “secure perimeter” under these terms?
A secure perimeter is defined as any physical or electronic boundary that has been explicitly listed in the site survey and marked on the final access control blueprint. Gates, doors, and vehicle barriers not included in the survey are considered outside the scope of the security guarantee. Any subsequent additions require a separate change order.
Are video surveillance feeds considered evidence of an incident?
Recorded footage is provided as an operational tool for situational awareness and post-event review. It does not constitute legal evidence unless the recording system, retention schedule, and chain of custody have been certified in writing by a qualified Canadian forensic specialist. Interludge Pentridge can facilitate third-party certification upon request, but this service is billed separately from the standard monitoring contract.
What happens if a credential is lost or stolen outside business hours?
The client must report the loss to the designated security desk immediately. The credential will be deactivated within 15 minutes of the report, provided the client can verify their identity through the pre-registered emergency contact procedure. Replacement credentials are issued the next business day. Any access events that occur between the loss and the deactivation are the client’s responsibility to report and investigate.
Does the system comply with all Canadian physical security standards?
Our designs align with CAN/ULC-S319-19 for electronic security systems and the Physical Security Standard for Critical Infrastructure (PSSCI) where applicable. However, compliance with municipal fire codes, local building bylaws, and industry-specific regulations (e.g., PIPEDA for personal data) remains the client’s obligation. A full compliance audit can be performed as an optional add-on during the commissioning phase.
What is the warranty period for installed hardware?
All Interludge Pentridge supplied hardware carries a one-year warranty against manufacturing defects, starting from the date of system acceptance. The warranty covers replacement parts and on-site labour for the first 90 days; after that, labour is billed at the prevailing service rate. Damage caused by environmental conditions, power surges, or unauthorized modifications is excluded. Extended warranty plans are available for purchase before the initial term expires.
How are software updates and firmware patches handled?
Critical security patches are deployed automatically within 72 hours of release, provided the system is connected to our update server. Feature updates and non-critical patches are bundled into quarterly maintenance windows. Clients may opt out of automatic updates by submitting a written request, but this voids the system’s compliance certification and shifts all liability for security gaps to the client.
