PerimeterGuard Access Control System

PerimeterGuard combines RFID card readers with fingerprint biometrics to secure vehicle and personnel entry points. The system supports real-time credential validation against a central directory, with failover to local storage in case of network interruption. All access events are logged and auditable per Canadian physical security standards. The modular architecture allows expansion from a single gate to a full campus deployment without replacing core hardware.

VaultCore Server Rack Enclosure

VaultCore is a NEMA-rated server rack enclosure designed to protect sensitive hardware from physical intrusion, dust, and temperature extremes. It includes integrated door sensors, humidity and temperature probes, and a local alarm that triggers on unauthorized access. The enclosure supports standard 19-inch rack mounting and can be locked with both electronic and mechanical keys. Remote monitoring via SNMP allows facility managers to receive alerts on environmental changes or door status.

SentinelLink Video Surveillance Gateway

SentinelLink provides a unified interface for viewing, recording, and analyzing video streams from multiple industrial locations. It supports ONVIF-compliant cameras and offers motion-based recording schedules to reduce storage costs. The gateway includes built-in analytics for perimeter intrusion detection and loitering alerts. All footage is encrypted at rest and in transit, with retention policies configurable to meet Canadian privacy regulations. The system can be integrated with existing access control and alarm platforms.

Common questions about facility security

Access control

Our access control systems support card, biometric, and mobile credential readers for vehicle and pedestrian gates. Each entry point can be configured with dual-factor authentication and real-time credential validation against a central directory. All events are logged with timestamps and user IDs, and the system can operate offline with local storage if the network drops. We design the layout to match your site's traffic flow and security zones.

Video surveillance

We deploy ONVIF-compliant cameras with motion-based recording and edge storage to reduce bandwidth. The video management gateway aggregates feeds from up to 64 cameras across multiple buildings, with analytics for perimeter intrusion and loitering alerts. Footage is encrypted at rest and in transit, and retention policies are configurable to meet Canadian privacy regulations. The system can integrate with your existing access control and alarm platforms.

Infrastructure protection

Our server rack enclosures are NEMA-rated with integrated door sensors, temperature and humidity probes, and local alarms. They support standard 19-inch rack mounting and can be locked with both electronic and mechanical keys. Remote monitoring via SNMP sends alerts on environmental changes or unauthorized access. We also provide cable management and cooling solutions tailored to your facility's power and space constraints.

Standards compliance

All our designs align with Canadian physical security standards, including CAN/ULC-S319 for electronic access control systems and CSA Z462 for electrical safety. We document every component and configuration to support audit trails and third-party certification. Our team reviews your site's specific requirements during the planning phase and adjusts the blueprint accordingly. We can also help prepare documentation for insurance or regulatory reviews.

Definitions & Scope of Work

These clarifications govern the interpretation of all proposals, blueprints, and service agreements issued by Interludge Pentridge. They supersede any conflicting terms in preliminary documents.

What constitutes a “secure perimeter” under these terms?

A secure perimeter is defined as any physical or electronic boundary that has been explicitly listed in the site survey and marked on the final access control blueprint. Gates, doors, and vehicle barriers not included in the survey are considered outside the scope of the security guarantee. Any subsequent additions require a separate change order.

Are video surveillance feeds considered evidence of an incident?

Recorded footage is provided as an operational tool for situational awareness and post-event review. It does not constitute legal evidence unless the recording system, retention schedule, and chain of custody have been certified in writing by a qualified Canadian forensic specialist. Interludge Pentridge can facilitate third-party certification upon request, but this service is billed separately from the standard monitoring contract.

What happens if a credential is lost or stolen outside business hours?

The client must report the loss to the designated security desk immediately. The credential will be deactivated within 15 minutes of the report, provided the client can verify their identity through the pre-registered emergency contact procedure. Replacement credentials are issued the next business day. Any access events that occur between the loss and the deactivation are the client’s responsibility to report and investigate.

Does the system comply with all Canadian physical security standards?

Our designs align with CAN/ULC-S319-19 for electronic security systems and the Physical Security Standard for Critical Infrastructure (PSSCI) where applicable. However, compliance with municipal fire codes, local building bylaws, and industry-specific regulations (e.g., PIPEDA for personal data) remains the client’s obligation. A full compliance audit can be performed as an optional add-on during the commissioning phase.

What is the warranty period for installed hardware?

All Interludge Pentridge supplied hardware carries a one-year warranty against manufacturing defects, starting from the date of system acceptance. The warranty covers replacement parts and on-site labour for the first 90 days; after that, labour is billed at the prevailing service rate. Damage caused by environmental conditions, power surges, or unauthorized modifications is excluded. Extended warranty plans are available for purchase before the initial term expires.

How are software updates and firmware patches handled?

Critical security patches are deployed automatically within 72 hours of release, provided the system is connected to our update server. Feature updates and non-critical patches are bundled into quarterly maintenance windows. Clients may opt out of automatic updates by submitting a written request, but this voids the system’s compliance certification and shifts all liability for security gaps to the client.
